The girl from Val Marie

she lives in a cubicle
not far from me
tap tap tapping on her iPhone
she yearns to be free

she is made, formed
dirt courses through her veins
she is a part of the rolling flattened landscape
and yearns to be free

I listen
to the morse code
tap tap tapping from a cubicle
not far from me
she’s the girl from Val Marie
and she yearns to be free

  1. The simple rhyme washes the picture of this woman onto the sands of the poem well–she’s made, she’s formed, so material that dirt is her blood, and still she longs to be free. Like it, borg.

  2. very cool with the morse code on the phone..glad you heard her and maybe you should think about getting her out of that cubicle for a walk in the park..smiles

  3. Did you get my text? The one that said SOS? Simple little write packs a wild punch for me…full on roundhouse…not to distract from the fact it’s awesome to see you at OpenLinkNight!
