Alone

Alone and you will find

(refreshing mind)
a hidden cupboard from behind
alone and you will see
that the tangent is a monkey
that’s me
and you will find
a host of glass
and you will find a hidden past
Alone and you will find
(refreshing mind)
something they can’t see
alone
you think of me
alone
you think of me
but it’s not what it supposed to be

you cry and you cry
but it’s alone
alone and you will find
(refreshing mind)
that tears are your turning page
and alone is all we are meant to be
alone alone alone

    1. Addicts are terribly alone and suffer loneliness terribly. It may sound cliched but from experience, the howling wind isnt from a crowd of friends, it is our own crushing loneliness that impels us, impedes us to move forward. Out from the dark caverns…

  1. There is the sense of a strong song lyric to this–dark and grunged, and quite powerful, from someplace where all the pleasure receptors in the brain have ceased to function. A lot of truth in it, nonetheless.
    “…you will find
    a host of glass
and you will find a hidden past
    Alone and you will find
    (refreshing mind)
    something they can’t see
    alone..”
    that’s poetry, there.

  2. …ah, alone..alone..alone… by word itself you could come up already more than just a hundred poems… like what you did in those repetitions… it has led me to variety of choice to read this piece… well done!

  3. Oh!Oh! What does it mean when you so terribly CRAVE alone? The silence needed to make sense of that wind through the willows of the mind? Oh, this write will allow my imagination to run…seems to be a trend this week, and thanks be to the heavens I’ve got the alone time to let it go. Fast becoming a fan!
