Slow dreaming

I am slow dreaming

when I think of you
past the heart beat into stone
concrete mass
my church is home

you hide yourself away from me
turn the other way
hide sulphur ridden eyes

and glance the other way

Bourbon! Scotch!! Just begin to pour!
I’ll tell you when to stop.
I’ll tell you when you stopped.
I’ll tell you more
than your dreams ever realized.

innocence turns the frame

  1. One would have to assume you had to begin with in order to suffer a loss. The final line has me thinking more of guilt, unfulfilled desire, and of thoughts you shouldn’t be thinking! Just my thoughts…which you have probably noticed fly out of left field more often than not! 😉
