Solitary branches

They all reach out
solitary branches
none seeming more than the other
and none are more than me

solitary branches from the cave
to today
inked pain

who else could cross out your broken arrow?
who else
but me?

fragmented acid dream
circa lifetime 1
I can’t remember the lies of her face
stranded,strangled, mangled and fandangoed

men fought for something that could never be theirs.
Don’t stop the clock
I have more time.
