Love was not broken

love was not broken
on the cross
twisted display of Fatherly love
for sons and daughters to see

A jeer a spear
pierce flesh,water wine
and the kingdom with every drop

  1. Your poetry “form” is very interesting. I don’t think I could ever write like that – it’s the grammar geek in me – but I like it. The form gave this particular subject a sense of the power of Christ that I think would not have come through in a traditional poetry form even with the same words. Peace, Linda

    1. Okay, I read this on the list page and it was all run on. Now I have to read it again to see if I was wrong about it still being as good in a traditional form. I do like the way it appears as a run-on in the list, though. Linda
